Meeting Format
A typical agenda features informal mingling over member-provided refreshments, a call to order, group introductions, brief announcements, our 10-minute reader, and the featured guest speaker.
Past speakers have included journalists, novelists and short-story writers, copyright lawyers, editors and publishers, poets, and children’s authors. A question and answer period follows each presentation, leading to a
spirited exchange of ideas. Occasionally, panel discussions take the place of a speaker.
There are read-arounds held twice a year, in December and June, at which members share their short works in a non-judgmental, supportive environment.
Occasionally, events are held at other locations, providing an opportunity for workshops and public readings.
Notice of meeting cancellation due to weather is posted on our Web site.
