The Monadnock Writers’ Group will hold its annual 3-Minute Fiction Contest on
October 25 at 10:00 in the Mariposa Museum in Peterborough. The event has been
one of the highlights of the MWG program both in challenging writers and in
entertaining their audience. Contestants will read a selection of their own writing
and be judged by a panel of experienced, well-published writers.
Readings will be timed and points deducted for taking longer than three minutes.
No entrance fee is charged. The contest is open to the public as participants or as
listeners. The winner will be invited to the New Hampshire finals on November 8
at Southern New Hampshire University where a top prize of $250 will be awarded.

Biannual Members Read-Around
At our December and June meetings, members of the Monadnock Writers’ Group will read excerpts of their own work for up to ten minutes each. Every year, this is an inspirational opportunity to enjoy the creative talents of our members. The public is welcome to attend.
